I knew I should have shown up at McVeighs last night to celebrate. Ian, now that you're drinking again, I'll buy the first round if I ever get there..... Ian, I get what you're saying about the accountability factor, but seriously, not everyone is using their own credit card to sign up (think parents or siblings or significant other) so you could still be sort of 'anonymous'. Additionally, given the dearth of information available for free or a small fee on the web, it could prove to be a little more dangerous to put your real name out there for cyber stalking etc. As a woman, I would be rather reluctant to give one more piece of information about myself that would allow others to find me. On the flip side of that, I try very hard to be fair and balanced in my postings, simply because I have very little time for trolls. It would be wonderful if everyone else were so grown up about it, but realistically, that isn't happening. If we stop feeding the trolls, perhaps they will eventually die off.
